According to sources, free agent shooting guard JR Smith and the Los Angeles Lakers are finalizing a deal to bring Smith on the roster for when the league to restart its season in the bubble at Orlando, Florida in late July.
Veteran point guard Avery Bradley recently decided to opted out of playing with the team when the season will restart in late July, the Lakers and Smith had begun talks to acquiring the 15-year veteran shooting guard, according to reports.
Smith, 34, hasn't been playing in the league since November of 2018 with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
