Breaking news to Chrismckradio, the Atlanta Falcons traded their star wide receiver Julio Jones to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, according to multiple reports.
According to sources, the Falcons will receive the 2022 second-round draft pick and a 2023 fourth-round pick. The Titans will also receive from the Falcons a 2023 sixth round draft pick.
Jones reportedly been very displeased on the direction of the Falcons, he wanted out and go somewhere where his new team would compete for a Super Bowl. Jones' base salary of $15.3 million would had been guaranteed this season. Now Jones will get dead money owed to him by the Falcons this season and next.
Jones, 32, was drafted sixth overall in the 2011 draft. He is the all-time Falcons career leader in receptions (848) and yards (12,896). He is second all-time to former Falcons wide receiver Roddy White in touchdown catches (63).
