Breaking news from the Associated Press, NBA Hall of Famer, and current Georgetown Hoyas head coach Patrick Ewing is hospitalized after testing positive for the coronavirus. Ewing says the virus is serious and it shouldn't be taken lightly.
" I have tested positive for Covid-19. This virus is serious and should not be taken lighlty. I want to encourage everyone to stay safe and take care of yourselves and your loved ones," says Ewing.
Ewing, 57, is in his 3rd season as the head coach for his alma-mater Georgetown. According to reports, no one on his coaching staff, nor any players he coached have tested positive for the coronavirus, according to reports.
Ewing, a 7-foot-center played 17 seasons in the NBA, nearly all with the New York Knicks.
