According to reports from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office, back in February, Tiger Woods was involved in a single automobile crash of his 2021 Genesis GV80 SUV, the cause was he was driving too fast and reckless. He was speeding from 84 to 87 mph in a 45 mph speed limit zone near Los Angeles.
Woods, 45, suffered various injuries from the crash. He had a rod inserted in his broken leg, and currently is in rehab. Woods told detectives he doesn't know how the crash occurred and doesn't remember anything the day of the crash.
Woods was rehabbing from a 5th back surgery during the time before the crash. He was planning on hosting his PGA tournament, the Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club the day of the crash.
According to the LA Sheriff's Office, no criminal charges were given. Woods reportedly told the police he hadn't consumed any alcohol, and no drugs. Detectives didn't look into getting warrant for blood samples to see if Woods was impaired with alcohol or a drug substance.
