Detroit Pistons trades PG Derrick Rose back to the New York Knicks for guard Dennis Smith Jr., Rose reunites with head coach Tom Thibodeau

According to reports, the Detroit Pistons decided to trade point guard Derrick Rose to the New York Knicks for guard Dennis Smith Jr and a 2021 second-round pick. The trade reunites Rose with Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau.

Rose was the league's MVP with he played for Thibodeau back in 2011 with the Chicago Bulls and played for him again in Minnesota during the 2017-18 season.

Rose, 32, averaging 14 points and 4.2 assists per game so far this season.
